British sports management simulation specialist Sports Interactive has announced that it has signed a deal with the NHL for Eastside Hockey Manager; while today on GI.biz, we chat with SI managing director Miles Jacobson.

Under the terms of the new deal with the NHL - and with player representative body NHLPA - the game will be renamed to NHL Eastside Hockey Manager, and will feature official names, logos and images of all teams and players from the North American leagues.

Despite the NHL name, the game will feature leagues from all around the world - and is currently planned to include 20 leagues from across the US, Canada, Finland, the UK, Sweden, Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Norway and Slovakia.

Today on GamesIndustry.biz, we interview Sports Interactive managing director Miles Jacobson about the NHL deal, the spectacular growth of the developer over the past twelve months - and what the future may hold for the Islington-based company which originated in its founders' bedrooms.
