Sports Interactive renews Racers sponsorship deal

Leading sports management simulator developer Sports Interactive has announced that it is to continue its sponsorship deal with ice hockey team London Racers for a further season, just ahead of the launch of the company's first non-soccer title, Eastside Hockey Manager.

The renewed agreement will see the Islington based developer - best known for creating the Championship Manager franchise, and now working on a new soccer title called Football Manager alongside the Eastside Hockey game - continuing its partnership with the London Racers throughout the 2004-05 season.

It's a timely announcement for the company, with the launch of Eastside Hockey Manager - the first of Sports Interactive's titles to be published under a long-term development deal with Sega - due out this Summer.

"Working with London Racers throughout last season was a real eye-opener for us," commented Sports Interactive managing director Miles Jacobson, "providing us with knowledge and experience which will prove invaluable when we launch our first ice hockey game later this year. We look forward to learning and growing more through our second season of partnership."
