Speakers confirmed for Asian Game Developers Summit
Second annual event gets underway next month
Last minute preparations for the Asian Game Developers Summit are underway, with a range of speakers confirmed to attend, including developers from the mobile sector.
The event is due to take place on December 9th and 10th at the Orchard Hotel in Singapore and intends to cover all aspects of the games industry, with an emphasis on promoting game development within the region.
Attendees can expect a series of keynotes, round-table discussions and practical workshops over the course of the two days, covering design, business, technology and production issues.
Some of the highlights include lecturer and author Andrew Davison's speech, entitled 'The Myths and Truths of Java Games Programming', which hopes to address the key issues that the development community has with the games programming language.
Paul Gadi, VP of technology for Anino Mobile will offer a post-mortem of his work with Test Driven Development and J2ME projects, with insight from working on Call of the Land on Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Samsung and Nokia handsets.
Other big-name attendees include Ian Livingstone from Eidos, Feargus Urquhart of Obsidian Entertainment, Kristine Coco from Midway Games and Abdool Gafoor of EA Singapore.
