Sony Pictures Television has announced plans to release 14 new games for mobile phones in North America during the course of 2007.

Sony Pictures Television has announced plans to release 14 new games for mobile phones in North America during the course of 2007.

The titles will include God of War: Betrayal, which is set after the events of the first GOW PS2 game. It will see Kratos embarking on a quest to clear his name after being wrongly accused of betraying the Olympians.

There are two Spider-Man games down for release - Spider-Man 3, a 2D side-scroller based on the recently released movie, and Spider-Man Puzzle, a casual title where players match game pieces to score points.

Sony has also announced Jeopardy! 2007, which features a new interface and five different play modes, and Jump That Car, where players drive a buggy around hilly landscapes. Then there's Snoop Dogg Cruisin', which sees players trying to impress the rap star with their driving skills.

"Sony Pictures Television continues its tradition of robust mobile offerings with the release of these games," said Eric Berger, vice president of mobile entertainment at SPTV.

"Building from our vast library of properties, we're developing the most compelling and engaging games for both casual players and gamers."
