Sony outlines 3D games slate
Killzone, MotorStorm, Gran Turismo, Crysis and Ghost Recon among titles to get stereoscopic
Sony has outlined some of the key titles that will offer stereoscopic 3D gaming for the PlayStation 3 when they launch later this year.
Killzone 3, MotorStorm: Apocalypse, Gran Turismo 5, Crysis 2 and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will headline the list of games that will be playable in 3D on any PS3 console - with support for the technology recently having been adding via a firmware update.
The news was announced during the platform holder's E3 press conference, with an extended demonstration of Killzone 3 on show - that particular game will be released in February 2011, and will also be compatible with PlayStation Move.
"How about that for an immersive 3D experience?" enthused Kaz Hirai, president of the networked products and services department at Sony. "And when you pair 3D with PlayStation Move, it's an unparalled experience," he added. "It's a future that Sony will lead."
Earlier in the day, Nintendo had unveiled the 3DS handheld console, with Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aime taking a swipe at it's Japanese rival and pouring scorn on the need to wear glasses and buy special TVs in order to use the technology.
