Software company started by D&D enthusiasts launches software to rapidly run adventures and build campaigns online
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Fort Lauderdale, FL -- December 23, 2005 -- 21st Century D&D gaming is officially here and d20pro, a product of MindGene, LLC is ready to take over. d20pro is a software application that allows the role-playing gamer to both run and join adventures and build campaigns online. In addition, d20pro allows the gamer to prepare everything ahead of time, quickly draft maps, and import graphics. The gamer can also leverage a library of existing creatures, or create their own, and have immediate access to attacks, skills, spells, along with many other features that speed up game play. d20pro manages the mechanics so that the gamers can focus on the action.
"The software is perfect for the gamer that is having trouble finding a regular game since they moved out of town and it allows you to connect with the other people in your group over the Internet and judge or play from the comfort of your own home. This way, gamers can play with friends who are out of town or still get together for a regular game when schedules are hard to coordinate. I think RPGA gamers, in particular, will benefit", said Mat Morton, President of MindGene.
MindGene's d20pro is participating in a fast growing market that will only continue to grow in the next couple years. While the console market develops only through the launch of new consoles, the PC market is an ever evolving game environment with limitless possibilities at a much cheaper cost. Online games will see explosive growth in the next 24 months and d20pro is positioning itself to capitalize on that growth specifically in the role-playing game market. The product will be targeting two major customer segments: Teachers that need an easier and quicker application to teach students problem solving skills through the D&D game and the main segment: 25 to 35 year olds who have been playing role player games for an average of 11 years.
