SOE, Epic China execs to give China GDC keynotes

The Game Developers Conference China has announced the addition of two keynote presenters.

âGreg Short and Paul Meegan, two of the biggest names in the games business, will provide attendees a great perspective of the games market from both a western and Chinese point of view,â said GDC China's Meggan Scavio, senior conference manager.

Greg Short, SOE's director of platform product development, will deliver a keynote entitled "Embracing Disruption" for the Online Game Development and Business Track.

Paul Meegan, CEO and co-founder of Epic Games China, will deliver a keynote entitled "The Possibilities and Perils of Production Outsourcing and How itâs Changing the Way Games Are Madeâ for the Outsourcing and Next Generation games track.

âWith our first-class line-up of speakers, combined with the support shown from the developer and publisher community, GDC China is set to become a mainstay of the Chinese games industry calendar,â said Scavio.

The conference, hosted by CMP Game Group and IDG, will take place August 27 through August 29 at the Shanghai International Convention Center.
