Smoking Gun/News Group Media deal
Agreement reached for mobile games to be created under the Page 3 Games brand.
Mobile and online games company Smoking Gun plc has signed a three-year agreement with News Group Media to launch a range of unique mobile entertainment games under the Page 3 Games banner.
The partnership gives Smoking Gun the exclusive opportunity to develop the Page 3 brand through a series of mobile and online games, which will include the use of Page 3’s most glamorous girls.
Page 3 Football Strip will be the first of the games to be released in November 2008. Gamers play a score-operated quiz with top Page 3 girls, who will be stripping out of football kits depending on the player’s answers.
Players can then input their winning codes on the Page 3 Games website ( www.page3games.com) – and every player has the chance to win a range of star prizes.
Media Notes:
Smoking Gun was formed in 1996 by CEO Rob Henderson. The company has operated in the football space since 1998 and has developed PC titles alongside top UK football clubs including Chelsea, Arsenal, Celtic and Rangers, as well as developing online technology for Sky Sports.
More recently the company has been co-developing technology to facilitate connected mobile and online gaming, and will be launching its first Page 3 Games title in November 2008 ( www.page3games.com)
