Smash and grab, crash and burn: it’s time to Fire it Up!
Big guns, bigger explosions - be a renegade resistance fighter!
- Share multiplayer levels for immediate multiplayer action
- Download new multiplayer maps for extended motorised mayhem
E3, LOS ANGELES, 17 May 2005 - If it's action and explosions you want then Fired UpTM is the game for you. Developed by Sony's London Studios, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) is pleased to announce Fired Up on the PSPTM. Feel what it's like to be a renegade resistance fighter commanding high-octane vehicles in this anarchic racing combat experience - get ready to rumble and cause some serious collateral damage with explosive gaming on the go.
Brutal weaponry on board vicious vehicles hurtling across vast, open-ended environments makes for game-play that is unique to the PSP. Give the good guys the upper hand and take on missions that are not for the faint hearted as you battle against a faceless aggressor in the single player story mode.
If that is not enough, you can challenge your mercenary friends by using the multiplayer mode where you can play up to seven others thanks to the wireless capability. Fired-Up also introduces PSP game sharing amongst friends. Whether you choose 'death match' or 'king of the hill', one person can share multiplayer levels- allowing up to eight friends to play together on any one of the 13 multiplayer maps included in the game.
With varying size and difficulty, each of the multi-player maps offers distinct backdrops for the mechanical carnage to unfold. Added to this, further maps will be available for download at launch, meaning the scenery is always changing whilst the battle of the vehicles rages on.
Your skills will be put to the test as you take control of these super-charged vehicles and attempt to drive and shoot at the same time. Your enemies are highly trained so make sure you choose the right vehicle for the right mission. This is a game that requires skill and precision as well as power.
If you think you have what it takes to become a renegade fighter, take control of tanks and armoured vehicles, become a crack shot and be a winner, then hit the gas and play Fired Up.
