Sledgehammer, EA DICE and Patrice Desilets to speak at Quo Vadis
Berlin conference will host talent from major franchises like Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, Pokemon Go and Trivia Crack
Sledgehammer Games' Glen Schofield and Panache Digital Games' Patrice Desilets will be the keynote speakers at this year's Quo Vadis conference, which takes place in Berlin later this month.
As the CEO of Sledgehammer, Schofield is one of the most important figures working on Activision's Call of Duty series. Desilets is currently working on Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey at Panache Digital, but his reputation was built on another of the industry's biggest franchises: Assassin's Creed, which he helped create during his time at Ubisoft Montreal.
This year's conference will include a raft of other speakers representing some of the biggest games in the business: Niklas Fegraeus, design director at EA Dice, will discuss meeting the huge expectations associated with Star Wars: Battlefront, Foundry 42's Brain Chambers will detail the Frankfurt-based studio's integral role in making Star Citizen, and Maximo Cavazzani will recount establishing his 250-person studio Etermax with the long-lived success of Trivia Crack.
Other notable speakers include Niantic Inc.'s Anne Beuttenmüller, Team17 CEO Debbie Bestwick MBE, and Wright Bagwell, who led projects like Dead Space 2 and Farmville 2 before co-founding Outpost Games.
Quo Vadis will be held in Berlin from April 24 to 26, one of the main events in Berlin's International Games Week. For more information on speakers and tickets, visit the website.
