SkillJam EU Limited, a subsidiary of Fun Technologies, has signed an exclusive two-year deal with Lycos Europe to create a new private label skill gaming platform.

As part of the deal, SkillJam will develop, operate and support pay-for-play gaming sites for Lycos portals in the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Holland and Denmark. SkillJam already has a similar agreement in place with Lycos US.

"Lycos Europe is focused on providing a range of content and services to meet all our usersâ online needs and casual gaming is a core element of our offer to our community," said Michael Rohowski, chief sales officer for Lycos Europe.

"Our partnership with SkillJam opens up a good growth opportunity for our European network."

Fun Technologies CEO Lorne Abony added: "This represents an important stride forward as we continue investing in our European growth strategy, and gives our Games division the opportunity to substantially bolster its growing member base."

SkillJam is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fun Technologies, which also owns WorldWinner and Octopi. The company's other partners include AOL Games, EA-Pogo, MSN Games and Real Networks, and according to Fun Technologies' own figures, more than 27 million registered players take part in 10 million gaming tournaments each month.
