Ski Challenge 09
Ski Challenge 09 finished with success.
Vienna, 29. April 2009
The sudden and unmissable beginning of spring this year perfectly coincided with the climax of the 2009 Ski Challenge season. The 5th consecutive season simply served to underline a true success story. The highest praise around for the graphical upgrades, eight participating nations, nine license partners and 260 million online-runs by registered players alone.
Since the launch of the world’s biggest ski race back in winter 2004, Ski Challenge accumulated almost six million users and almost one billion online-races have been completed!
A total of eight countries (one more than last year) were on board for the launch of Ski Challenge 09. Alongside Austria, television networks and media partners from Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Slovenia, Croatia and for the first time from France and Italy licensed the popular free game. As has been the case in the past, most of the gamers were located in the German-speaking countries. A range of high-profile advertising partners were again involved internationally, including household names such as Audi, Canon, Tipp3, Swisscom, Kronen Zeitung, Uniqa, Raiffeisen, German Wings and Red Bull.
Ski Challenge continues to set standards in the quality of games financed by IGA (In-Game Advertising) worldwide. With the new generation of Greentube’s fully dynamic IGA system set to be launched for the 2010 season, this will again increase the value of the products for media partners and advertisers.
“We are overwhelmed with the ongoing success of our flagship game,” says Eberhard Dürrschmid, CEO of Greentube. “We continuously strive for cutting-edge technology and leadership in the branch of high quality, free-to-download games, and maximum reach for our partners. We are very much excited about what we have in store for the future.”
