Simplz: Zoo
Zoo-running game from the folks behind Airport Mania.
Lake Forest, CA – November 17, 2009 – Reflexive Entertainment, Inc. ( www.reflexive-inc.com) is proud to announce its next game: Simplz: Zoo. Scheduled for its grand opening this January on both Mac and PC, Simplz: Zoo will put players in charge of their own zoo, giving them the chance to control nearly every aspect, from what animals they exhibit to where to put the drinking fountains.
Created by the same award-winning team behind the breakout hit Airport Mania, Simplz: Zoo was created with a similar focus – having fun and putting smiles on players' faces. Russell Carroll, designer and producer of Simplz: Zoo said, "It was great to see the positive response to Airport Mania, and to hear all the stories of people who couldn't wipe the smile off of their faces while they were playing. With Simplz: Zoo, we wanted to continue that upbeat feeling while creating a totally new and different experience."
Simplz: Zoo combines two different types of games, simulation and puzzle, into one unique adventure. The main focus of the game is the zoo, where players will be able to choose from nearly 50 different buildings and exhibits, and more than 90 different types of animals. In addition to deciding what will be on display, players will personally create the layout of their zoo, arranging paths, foliage, fountains, statues and, of course, the buildings and exhibits, to satisfy both the happiness of the visitors, and the player's own artistic inclinations.
While climbing the ladder of the world's best zoos, players will then use a match-3 game to collect needed resources, such as food for the animals, resources for the buildings, money to purchase new exhibits, and research points that are used to investigate and unlock new habitats.
The connection with the match-3 game isn't one-way however, as every building, exhibit and animal placed on display in the zoo directly impacts the match-3 game, giving players more than 30 different power-ups that constantly shake up the 100 levels of puzzle play.
Featuring whimsical music from composer Isaac Shepard, fun-friendly graphics, and a zoo full of characters, Simplz: Zoo will provide an enjoyable and long-lasting gaming experience for everyone in the family when it is released for the PC and Mac in January.
