Simplz: Zoo
Puzzler/simulation available for PC and Mac now.
Lake Forest, Calif. – Jan. 21, 2010 - Reflexive Entertainment, Inc. ( www.reflexive-inc.com) is proud to announce today the release of Simplz: Zoo on both PC and Mac. Simplz: Zoo is a unique synthesis of two types of games, simulation and puzzle, that gives players a one-of-a-kind experience.
Taking the reigns of a small zoo, players are given the challenge to make their zoo the No. 1 zoo in the world. As the head of their own zoo, players will pick out what animals to exhibit, and will lay out everything from paths and exhibits to flowers and fountains. To obtain money and resources for the zoo, players engage in a Match-3 puzzle game. The skill with which the puzzle game is played will directly transfer over to the zoo as the players use their collected resources to purchase new exhibits and unlock new animals.
However, the connection between the puzzle game and the zoo simulation is far from one-way. Items purchased in the zoo will also directly impact the puzzle game, where each exhibit comes with a power-up or other item that will change the puzzle game play and continuously keep things fresh and fun.
"With our last game, Airport Mania, we set out to make people smile," said Russell Carroll designer and producer of Simplz: Zoo. "Airport Mania did very well, and to date has been one of our bestsellers across all platforms. With Simplz: Zoo, we hope to delight even more people with a similar comical style and lots of make-you-smile goodness."
Simplz: Zoo features more than 50 different buildings and exhibits, and more than 90 different types of animals. Fun is injected into every aspect of the game with upbeat music and quirky visitors who are always ready to share what they are thinking. Additional excitement is found in the game's secret code system, which hides secrets that can only be unlocked by entering the right code word or words. (Try the word "Nightflight" for a press release special in-game extra)
Featuring whimsical music, comical graphics and a zoo full of characters, Simplz: Zoo has been created to give players of all types a smile-inducing and long-lasting gaming experience. A game demo for both PC and Mac, along with additional information about the game, can be found now at the Simplz: Zoo website: http://www.simplzzoo.com.
