Shin Megami Tensei heads to PS3
Confirmation of further developer support for the PS3 has come from a story in Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, which claims that Atlus is currently working on a new iteration of RPG series Shin Megami Tensei for Sony's next console.
Originally created for the Super Famicom in 1992, the Shin Megami series has since appeared on numerous consoles with the latest title Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne receiving widespread critical acclaim, and becoming the first title in the series to reach European shores, under the name Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call.
The new project is, according to Famitsu, currently under the working title of Shin Megami Tensei and no further details have been officially released.
Whilst it seems unlikley the title will be a launch product to coincide with the PS3 release, it is hoped that the game will at least reach territories outside of Japan, where RPG titles typically have the largest fan base.
