The company reported a CNY 238.9 million (USD 32.3 million) rise, with revenues hitting CNY 656.3 million (USD 88.7 million) - up over 50 per cent from last year's figure.
Shanda's best-known games in the region include The Legend of Mir II (pictured) and Woool, for which expansion packs are due next year, according to an article on Reuters.
The company, currently China's market-leading MMO publisher, also announced the appointment of Grace Wu as its new chief financial officer.
