February 25, 2011 – In a move bound to shake the very foundation of the Croatian first-person shooter market, Croteam has launched the Fusion DLC Pack for Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter on Steam. The Serious Sam HD Fusion DLC Pack combines all the campaign and multiplayer levels from Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter into Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter for the ultimate in classic first-person shooter mayhem. For the first time ever, Serious Sam fans can enjoy new modes like Beast Hunt and My Burden using the classic maps from Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter. The Fusion DLC Pack is a free update for Serious Sam HD: Second Encounter on Steam to those users that own both Serious Sam HD: First Encounter and Second Encounter or the Serious Sam HD: Gold Edition or Double Pack.
“What’s the deal with giving stuff away for free,” said Fork Parker, Chief Financial Officer at Devolver Digital, Serious Sam HD publisher. “If the video game industry has taught me anything it’s that you milk these games for all their worth. Freaking amateurs.”
Serious Sam HD: First Encounter and Second Encounter are both available for download for PC, Steam, and Xbox LIVE Arcade. Pretty darned cheap as well.
“Serious Sam 3 better be priced at over $400 or we might as well close up shop,” replied Fork when asked for further comment.
