SCE Chief Technical Officer departs

Sony Computer Entertainment has today confirmed that chief technical officer Shinichi Okamoto has left the company.
Okamoto-san was considered to be one of the key architects of the PlayStation 3 project, although it's not clear whether his departure will adversely affect the project or its time schedules.
No reason has been given for his decision to leave, and it's not clear whether he plans to move elsewhere within the industry or to depart the sector entirely.
