San Francisco Music Tech Summit

Heatwave Interactive to host a panel at next month's do.

Austin, Texas – November 24, 2009 – Heatwave Interactive, a game development studio and online publisher creating innovative cross-media properties, announced today it will host a panel discussing the future of music games at the San Francisco Music Tech Summit December 7, 2009. Heatwave Interactive is also named as a sponsor of the conference.

Heatwave Interactive’s founder, Anthony Castoro, will take part in the panel titled “Music Games: Beyond Beatmatching,” which will specifically focus on what kinds of spaces exists for music and gaming beyond the beatmatching genre. Castoro has more than 14 years of professional game development experience including roles as a designer, producer and director at several gaming companies such as EA, Sony Online Entertainment and Codemasters. Heatwave Interactive, where Castoro serves as the CEO, specializes in revolutionizing the entertainment landscape by creating cross-media properties for gaming, film, music and television. Heatwave is currently developing the social hip hop lifestyle game Platinum Life™Web Edition on facebook, and Platinum Life™ for PC and console.

Other industry experts are expected to take part in the “Music Games: Beyond Beatmatching” panel including BitMob editor Michael Donahoe, well known for his former roles at Electronic Gaming Monthly Magazine and 1up.com. In addition, Chris Kohler, editor of Wired.com’s GameLife, will serve as the moderator to the panel.
