Saitek Pro Flight range

Instrument Panel, Radio Panel and Multi Panel available to flight sim buffs now.

San Diego, May 7, 2009

Mad Catz® Interactive, Inc. (“Mad Catz” or “the Company”) (AMEX/TSX: MCZ), a leading third-party interactive entertainment accessory provider, announced today the expansion of the Saitek® Pro Flight range of accessories, with three exciting new products scheduled for release on PC.

The Pro Flight Instrument Panel, Pro Flight Radio Panel and Pro Flight Multi Panel each exhibit startling levels of authenticity and have been designed to greatly enhance game play of Microsoft® Flight Simulator X™ or Flight Simulator 2004™ as well as other flight simulation software. These panels simulate on-screen displays and dramatically reduce the user’s need for mouse and keyboard during play, thus greatly enhancing realism.

Eliminating the need for cumbersome in-game heads up display (HUD), the Pro Flight Instrument Panel utilizes a high resolution color LCD screen which displays real-time game content when used with Flight Simulator X. Utilizing the on-board controls, users can instantly switch between altimeter, vertical speed indicator, altitude indicator, airspeed, compass and turn & slip indicator. The Pro Flight Instrument Panel’s modular mounting system allows up to six Panels to be connected together, delivering the ultimate in cockpit realism. Users who own the Saitek® Pro Flight Yoke (sold separately) can even mount the Panels directly to the Yoke itself for a simple and highly effective appearance.

The Pro Flight Radio Panel features a unique selection of LED’s and Switches used to control various aspects of communication and radio control featured in flight simulation software. When used with Flight Simulator X or Flight Simulator 2004, the Radio Panel once more eliminates the need for on-screen radio display. Including controls for the COM1/COM2/NAV1/NAV2 functions alongside the DME/ADF/XPDR functions, The Pro Flight Radio Panel features twin concentric Adjustment Dials which adjust frequency units incrementally for quicker selection and the system is also mountable to the Pro Flight Yoke (sold separately).

Allowing users to tweak multiple in game settings, the Pro Flight Multi Panel brings detailed levels of control and customization to the fingertips of flight simulator enthusiasts. Featuring a full autopilot panel with associated setting controls for auto throttle, flaps and elevator trim wheel, the Panel once more reads real-time data directly from Flight Simulator X and Flight Simulator 2004, thus eliminating the need for on-screen auto-pilot controls and is also mountable to the Pro Flight Yoke (sold separately).

Darren Richardson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz commented, “The Saitek brand is synonymous with flight simulation gaming. The new range of Pro Flight accessories expands the market by complimenting our existing Pro Flight Yoke and enabling enthusiasts to build-out their cockpits. Constructed from quality materials, the new Saitek Pro Flight products introduce a new level of authenticity and realism to the flight simulation genre.”

The Saitek Pro Flight Instrument Panel will be available from May 2009 and the Pro Flight Radio Panel and Pro Flight Multi Panel are each expected to be available from July in North America and selected European territories with an MSRP of $149.99 / £129.99 / €149.99 for each product.
