Sacred 2 Dell Arena available for your exploration at Leipzig.
For immediate release
Leipzig, 19 August 2008 – Prepare to enter the SACRED 2-DELL Arena and be immersed in fantasy Action RPG gaming at the Games Convention 2008 in Leipzig.
ASCARON, a leading European developer of gaming software, and Deep Silver, Koch Media's gaming label and one of the leading producers and marketers of digital entertainment products, today release details of their appearance at this year's Games Convention.
Fans will have the chance to enter the SACRED 2-DELL Arena (Deep Silver, Hall 3 – Stand A02) and test out the PC and console versions of the highly anticipated release on 46 gaming stations. Gamers can reserve a personal time slot starting immediately at www.sacred2.com, helping avoid long queuing at the trade fair stand.
The arena will come equipped with high end PCs from cooperative partner DELL, allowing up to 26 players to simultaneously adventure across the world of Ancaria. Each gaming session in the arena, be it in PvE or PvP mode, lasts 20 minutes.
There will also be the opportunity for visitors to play the PLAYSTATION®3 and Xbox 360® versions. 20 gaming stations will be set up to allow 20 minute test sessions. Fans can look forward to a brand new preview version showcasing the Seraphim, High Elf, Shadow Warrior and Dryad characters, as well as the first public outing for the cool new Temple Guardian character.
Due to the advised 12+ age restriction at the GC, ASCARON will keep spectacular magic and animation effects of the Inquisitor character under wraps.
"This is the first time that DELL and ASCARON will be presenting the fruits of our teamwork in the form of an impressive preview of SACRED 2 – Fallen Angel", explains Heiko tom Felde, Managing Director of Ascaron GmbH. "Our cooperation with DELL has been the decisive pillar in substantially accelerating the development process for today's release. The standardised hardware basis not only assisted PC development, but it also empowered us to adopt a new approach to console development that is evident in the long awaited sequel. The GC Preview will excite gaming fans everywhere, and will help us to live up to the expectations raised by the success of the previous version, when SACRED 2 – Fallen Angel officially hits stores from 2nd October."
