Sachi's Quest - First person adventure and modder's dream
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SPRINGFIELD, MA (June 23, 2006) - Graphic
designer and independent software developer Chris O'Connell
has announced his largely one-man project, "SACHI'S QUEST", a
3D game for Windows 2000 and Windows XP is now
available.
"SACHI'S QUEST" is a first-person adventure that allows a
player to take on the roll of "Sachi", a female agent who
fights oppressive aliens in a very dark future. Players will
experience several interactive chapters, each taking place on
different worlds, leading to a final battle on an
alien-conquered Earth. Along the way, the player discovers
and uses various weapons and equipment to help aid in
surviving the adventures on each world.
"SACHI'S QUEST" also includes a mission editor for creating
custom content. "Imaginative players are highly encouraged to
use the mission editor to create and share their own
adventures for Sachi to survive." says Chris O'Connell, the
creator of the game. "Several game companies don't allow this
sort of thing with their products. I hope that, people will
like Sachi and her adventures so much; they'll take pleasure
and put her through whatever kinds of adventures they want to
create." The mission editor includes several options that
allow users to invent and change whole environments to play
in, including mountains, fields, lakes, hills, plant life,
buildings and various items, as well as weather effects such
as rain, snow, lightning, and sunshine. The mission editor
can even be used to affect the behavior, or artificial
intelligence, of certain characters in the game.
"SACHI'S QUEST" is available for $19.95 and can be purchased
online via CD or download. A free demo version of the game,
featuring only the first three chapters without the mission
editor can be downloaded at www.sachisquest.com.
