Berlin, February 12th 2009: In the battle against the evil of Taborea the right gear is the key to victory in Runes of Magic . Without it you will certainly face defeat. Until now players could receive these items by defeating enemies, as quest rewards or from crafting. Now there is another way to earn them: a new Mini-Game in Runes of Magic opens access to a new dangerous dungeon full of hidden traps and loot. Once every day, adventurers may go hunting for treasure - and with a bit of luck and good fortune, the reward is high-end gear, special recipes or rare crafting materials. But be aware, dangerous creatures and hidden traps lurk everywhere!

In exchange for special tokens, the new NPC Malatina once a day grants access to a special instanced dungeon just for you. But it is not easy, you won't find treasure everywhere. Instead of treasure, dangerous creatures may jump on you and hidden traps make the treasure hunt in the mini game even harder. You cannot count on the help of other players either, because this instanced dungeon is a solo challenge. Daring treasure hunters have 10 minutes to find the treasure in this game of deadly creatures and treacherous traps, after that the hunt will end automatically.

The best treasure hunters will receive one of three special titles - one of which is "Malatina's Servant". To achieve this title, you need to clear all 36 possible places within the given time. Runes of Magic started the open beta with an English and a German version in the middle of December 2008. All interested players can now download the online-role playing game and enter into the fantasy world after creating an account for free on www.runesofmagic.com.

Runes of Magic – a world full of wizardry and adventure

With an extensive range of features Runes of Magic prepares to redefine the standard of free2play MMO games.
