Berlin, 10th June 2010: Even Runes of Magic has been struck down with football fever. Football fans on the European servers of the popular fantasy MMO game can cheer on the boys from their national teams throughout the World Cup from the 10th of June 2010 at 17:00 until the final day of the tournament on the 11th of July at 23.59. Even if our players can’t be in South Africa they can at least be there in spirit through the world of Taborea! Players can buy national football shirts and flags in a special item Fan-Shop and in the Phirius Token Shop to dress their characters and decorate houses.

Twenty-four hours before the group stage begins Frogster will introduce a special diamond promotion for all European players. During this time players will be able to get hold of an extra load of in-game currency depending on the result of the game. The more a participating player’s national team gets one past the other goalie, the more diamonds the player will receive. Whether its victory, defeat or draw, the player will still come out a champion. The more goals scored by the country whose server the participating player plays on, the more diamonds they receive.
