Rovio - Angry Birds
Android version gets a big update, including a new episode of levels.
Espoo, Finland - October 9, 2010 - Rovio has just released the first big update for Angry Birds on Android. The update brings support for a number of new devices and a complete new episode of levels.
Angry Birds now supports QVGA graphics, so owners of devices with this compact screen size should find the game running perfectly on their phones.
Also included is the episode The Big Setup, which pits the birds against the fiendish construction yard operated by the pigs. The total number of levels is now up to 195 on the Android platform.
"We keep pushing to provide the best game experience on all platforms," said Mikael Hed, CEO of Rovio. "It's been one of our major goals to bring the complete Angry Birds experience to Android, and owners of other platforms can expect a similar level of service."
The total number of Angry Birds downloads recently passed 30 million, and Rovio greeted the growing ranks of fans by launching a line of plush toys in our online store at shop.angrybirds.com. The toys, available for preorder, were well received by the fan community, with thousands of plushies already marked for holiday delivery.
With Angry Birds steadily growing more popular and finding more fans every week, Rovio will continue to expand the Angry Birds game and the line of toys alike.
