Following recent controversy over the GTA 'Hot Coffee' mod and forthcoming title Bully, it appears that Rockstar is attempting to avoid any further negative publicity with its first next-gen game - which is simply titled Table Tennis.

The game will see players taking on the role of a professional table tennis player, battling it out against realistic characters in real world environments. It's being developed for Xbox 360 by Rockstar San Diego.

Table Tennis will certainly mark a departure for Rockstar, which is better known for producing the Grand Theft Auto series and other controversial titles such as Manhunt. It seems likely that the publisher will welcome a break from negative media coverage with its new sports title.

Table Tennis is out on May 26th, priced GBP 29.99.
