Ozzy Osbourne to make downloadable debut next week.
Guildford, UK. – 7th June , 2010 – Harmonix and MTV Games today announced that rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, will make his Rock Band debut June 15 with a six pack of songs in the Rock Band Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360 ® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation ® 3 computer entertainment system and Wii TM .
“It’s great to bring my songs to Rock Band, especially material from the new album, Scream,” said Ozzy Osbourne. “I hope Rock Band players around the world are ready to have their living rooms invaded by me!”
Scream – Osbourne’s first album in almost three years and 10th studio album overall – is set for a June 15 release via Epic Records. Produced by Ozzy and Kevin Churko, both of whom did the same honors for Ozzy’s 2007 worldwide million-seller Black Rain, the new album is fueled by the red-hot first single “Let Me Hear You Scream.” Ozzy’s band consists of his Ozzy’s new guitar player, Gus G., bassist Blasko, drummer Tommy Clufetos and keyboardist Adam Wakeman.

Ozzy will make his Rock Band debut June 15 with a six pack of songs spanning his solo career. From his latest and 10th studio album, Scream, are “Diggin’ Me Down,” “Soul Sucker” and the album’s first single, “Let Me Hear You Scream.” These songs are available exclusively through Rock Band until the album’s release June 22. “I Don’t Wanna Stop” from 2007’s Black Rain, “Crazy Babies” from 1988’s double platinum No Rest For the Wicked, and “No More Tears” from the 1991 four times platinum album of the same name, will also be featured as downloadable content in the Rock Band Music Store.

Rock Band 2 is available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 system, PlayStation ® 2 computer entertainment system and Wii system. Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 system and Wii versions support downloadable content.
Downloadable content for Wii is purchased via the in-game Rock Band Music Store using Wii Points TM purchased through the Wii TM Shop Channel and can be downloaded to the system memory or to an SD card for additional storage. The tracks stream directly from the SD card for seamless play.
With these additions, there are now 1,518 tracks available to date via disc and download purchase (complete list of tracks at www.rockband.com/music). Rock Band continues to satisfy music fans’ and gamers' voracious appetite for rock with more than 68 million paid downloads since its launch Nov. 20, 2007. The Rock Band Music Store allows players to preview and purchase downloadable individual music tracks and packs from the vast selection of offerings available to date without ever leaving the game as they build their own custom Rock Band library.
Rock Band and Rock Band 2 are rated "T" for Teen (lyrics, suggestive themes) by the ESRB. Music downloads are not rated by the ESRB.
