Rock Band

Details of this week's Music Store additions.

Cambridge, Mass. – March 27, 2009 - Harmonix and MTV Games announced this week’s line up coming to the Rock Band® Music Store catalog of downloadable content, including new tracks from legendary classic rock band Journey and Pat Benatar, as well as music from Scottish rock band Glasvegas and alternative band Von Bondies.

In addition, next week’s Rock Band content update will include a three-pack from Nickelodeon sensation SpongeBob SquarePants.

Step back into the 80’s with Grammy Award-winning classic rock band Journey as they make their second appearance in the Rock Band music catalogue with their power ballad “Don’t Stop Believing” from the band’s 1981 album Escape. The track reached #8 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart and also recently became the first catalog track in history to achieve online digital sales of more than 2 million. Journey made its Rock Band debut with “Any Way You Want It” featured on the Rock Band 2 soundtrack.

Pat Benatar takes center stage with popular rock classic “Heartbreaker” from her 1979 album In the Heat of the Night. Benatar’s hit “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” debuted in the Rock Band Music Store earlier this year.

Performers at this year’s 2009 South By Southwest Rock Band Showcase, Glasvegas and Von Bondies make their Rock Band debut in next week’s lineup with “Geraldine” from Glasvegas’ 2008 self–titled album and Von Bondies’ hit “C’Mon C’Mon” featured on Pawn Shoppe Heart (2004).

The Nickelodeon SpongeBob SquarePants 3-Pack features “I Can’t Keep My Eyes Off of You,” “The Best Day Ever” and “Where’s Gary?” from the 2006 album SpongeBob SquarePants: The Best Day Ever.
