Roberts Laurence Gains Redemption
Roberts Laurence has been appointed to undertake global strategic and media communications by ethical online games company Red Redemption, who lead the world in climate change games. The appointment follows the two outfits teaming up for the successful launch of Red Redemption's new online game Operation Climate Control at the House of Commons in July.
Roberts Laurence who work across the international television industry, the arts and tourism have a client history that includes A&E International Television Networks, BBC, FIVE, Channel 4, Tate Gallery Liverpool, APTN and The European Commission*.

Red Redemption is a social venture, a games company dedicated exclusively to making smart games with a strong learning aspect in climate change, sustainability and developmental issues. So far in 2007 Red Redemption has launched four major climate change projects:
· "Climate Challenge" (with the BBC and the Environmental Change Institute at Oxford University),
· "Operation: Climate Control" (with the Department of the Environment) a scenario-based climate change game for 15-16 year olds and designed for use in the classroom with a teacher.

Red Redemption is partnered with the Environmental Change Institute of Oxford University and the UK Department of the Environment and is fortunate enough to have Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) scientists as games advisors, and to further ensure scientific rigor, Red Redemption has a fulltime in-house climate scientist. The company follow up all of its projects with in depth research on their effectiveness, for example a MSc master's thesis was produced by the Oxford University Environmental Change Institute examining the effectiveness of Red Redemption's Climate Challenge game. Roberts Laurence, founded in 1984, is one of the UK's leading bespoke communications consultancies. Roberts Laurence advised APTN, the video news agency of The Associated Press, from its conception in 1994. Recently we created and administered a Middle East Forum in partnership with the Royal Institute for International Affairs. Roberts Laurence has initiated and brokered partnerships for Five with, amongst others, Arts Council England and the London Film Festival. Roberts Laurence undertook European Media relations for the Prix Niki - a European Commission initiative to change the perception of women in television. The company carried out media relations audits for BBC News and Current Affairs, Channel 4 and also for Five. Melwood Pictures, the LA based Film Company formed by DreamWorks Producer Max Howard, hired the company to undertake European Media Relations. RLM was retained by The Racecourse Association, the trade organisation representing Britain's 59 racecourses, through 2002.
The Parliamentary Channel - a public service channel funded and managed by the British Cable Industry - retained Roberts Laurence through 1996, '97 and '98. The Austrian television and filmmakers Satel retained the company to market their documentary division.

Roberts Laurence created a partnership for Five TV and Arts Council England titled Fivearts cities. Working for both parties we devised and project managed Fivearts cities which documented the art of major English cities including Liverpool, Newcastle and Gateshead whilst developing and financing ambitious projects to enable people across cultures, creeds, backgrounds and ages to develop their own, often hidden, artistic talent. This included the homeless, asylum seekers and serving prisoners as well as community groups, the elderly, troubled teenagers and the differently abled. Roberts Laurence organised and monitored all such projects working with teams in galleries, theatres, commerce, arts centres and industry.
