Rob Smith appointment

Promoted to COO at RuneScape outfit Jagex.

UK, Cambridge, 7th September, 2009 – Jagex Games Studio, the UK’s largest independent games developer and publisher, today promoted Rob Smith to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer.

Rob joined Jagex’s player support team in 2003 as the thirty-third employee and has subsequently held a number of senior management roles within the organisation, serving most recently as an Operations Manager. As Chief Operating Officer, Rob will oversee all operational aspects of game development for Jagex’s various Games. In addition to managing Jagex’s existing titles, Rob will work alongside Jagex’s Executive Team developing future titles and growing the already significant player community.
