Riot Games donating all proceeds from limited edition skin to charity

Skin designed with League of Legends fan through The Make-A-Wish Foundation

Riot Games has announced plans to donate 100 per cent of proceeds from the sale of a new League of Legends to various charities around the world.

Dark Star Cho'Gath will be on sale for roughly $10 between June 21 and July 20; Riot has confirmed that proceeds will go towards charities based on where donations come from.

The skin was designed and built with a League of Legends fan named Bryan as part of The Make-A-Wish Foundation.

"Bringing Bryan's vision into League of Legends is a huge honor for us, and we feel that this is a great opportunity to support organisations that make a real impact," said Riot in a blog post.

The move follows on from a similar Riot Games' initiative last year which saw 25 per cent of Championship Ashe skin sales donated to charities selected by the League of Legends community.

Just last month, Blizzard made a similar offer to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, raising money through the sale of its Pink Mercy skin.
