Retro-Soft.co.uk announces deal with prolific Spectrum coders the Shaw Brothers to bring its games back to life!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Dunstable, Bedfordshire, UK - Apr 08 2005 - Retro-Soft.co.uk (part of the Alten8.com development group) announce world-wide distribution deal with the Shaw Brothers.
The Shaw Brothers were, back in the day, well respected developers and programmers of original and high-quality games for the ZX Spectrum. Between 1985 and 1992, it produced over 40 different titles, including Superkid, Air to Air Combat, The Last Vampire, Skatin' USA and Mole on the Dole. This deal between Retro-Soft.co.uk and the Shaw brothers resurrects nearly all of its games, to be re-released for the Spectrum, and allows Retro-Soft.co.uk to port each to more recent platforms such as TapWave and PalmOS.
Paul Andrews, of Retro-Soft.co.uk, said "we are delighted to be working with such prolific and well-known names from the ZX Spectrum's illustrious past. This deal with the Shaw brothers is both injecting more life into one of Britian's most popular 8-bit home computers of all time and also bringing its popular games to a new generation of gamer and hardware."
"We are looking to work with other similar parties to do the same, and will have more big announcements soon" Andrews concluded.
Retro-Soft.co.uk are also in the process of putting the finishing touches to a retro-inspired Pinball simulator, appropiately called Retro Ball, which will be released for the TapWave and PalmOS soon. More information about this and other developments are available on its website.
