Relic Entertainment has appointed Tarnie Williams as the studio's new general manager following the departure of Ron Moravek, who is taking on a new role at Electronic Arts.

Relic's best known titles include Homeworld, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War and The Outfit, plus forthcoming WWII-themed game Company of Heroes. Moravek joined the studio soon after it was established in 1997. In 2004 it was acquired by THQ, and he became vice president of product development for the publishers.

He has now joined EA Canada, where he will replace Jerry Bowerman as chief operating officer.

Moravek's replacement, Tarnie Williams, has held the title of executive producer for many of Relic's titles over the past year. Before joining the studio he worked for Electronic Arts, were his roles included senior producer on the Medal of Honor series.
