REDOCTANE ADDS CHRIS DEERING TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Video game publisher RedOctane has announced the appointment of Chris Deering to the company's board as one of its non-executive directors.

Video game publisher RedOctane has announced the appointment of Chris Deering to the company's board as one of its non-executive directors.
Mr. Deering joins RedOctane as the company rolls out its first European release.
Guitar Hero is appearing today in the UK, Scandinavia and Benelux, with a mainland Europe rollout continuing through the coming months.
A true entertainment industry statesman, Mr. Deering directed the European introduction of Sony PlayStation® and PlayStation® 2 as CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe from 1995 through 2005. In 2004, Mr. Deering was additionally named president of Sony Europe.
Chris retired from Sony at the end of 2005 and has since joined Codemasters as non-exec chairman. He also chairs the Edinburgh Interactive Entertainment Festival.

Guitar Hero for PlayStation 2 is available today in the UK, Scandinavia and Benelux. The game will be available in mainland Europe from May onwards.
