"Rebel Monkey Co-Founder to Deliver Featured Talk at Casual Connect Seattle"

Although they may be relaxing, achievement still reigns in casual games.

NEW YORK CITY, July 17, 2007 - Rebel Monkey TM , a leading New York casual game developer, today announced that company co-founder Nicholas Fortugno is delivering a featured presentation at the Casual Games Association's annual conference, held in Seattle later this month.

Mr. Fortugno's talk, "The Point of Points," demonstrates a variety of ways in which game designers manipulate meaningful choice inside video games by using points to help players understand their achievements. Using a number of examples from current video games, Mr. Fortugno shows how points are used to drive players to make decisions inside of a game, and to encourage or contradict their pursuit of the game's goals.

"I am excited that the casual game industry has reached a place where we are starting to have a body of knowledge around designing great games for this often misunderstood audience," says Mr. Fortugno.

"The Point of Points" is taking place at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 in Taper Auditorium at Benaroya Hall in downtown Seattle. Further details on the CGA Seattle conference are found at http://www.casualconnect.org/seattle .

Founded by two casual game industry vets, Nicholas Fortugno and Margaret Wallace, Rebel Monkey officially opened its doors in February 2007. Located in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, Rebel Monkey is focused on bringing a new generation of casual games to the marketplace.

The CGA Seattle conference is the largest casual game trade show in the world. The CGA anticipates over 1,200 attendees this year. It is estimated that over 200 million people play casual games worldwide - and this number is growing.
