Rambo: The Fight Continues
FPS "advergame" to promote movie's DVD release.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 21, 2008 (Dallas, TX) – Dallas-based Blockdot has launched “Rambo: The Fight Continues,” a heart-pounding first-person shooter game promoting the May 27 DVD release of Rambo, the fourth film in Sylvester Stallone’s legendary action-packed series. “Rambo: The Fight Continues” has already generated a buzz with movie fans and gamers, racking up half a million game plays in its first week.
In the game, players assume the role of lone warrior John Rambo, now living in a remote jungle in Southeast Asia. His solitary, simple life is shattered when he accepts a dangerous new mission: protect innocent villagers from a band of bloodthirsty soldiers. With a fifty-cal machine gun, an unlimited supply of ammo, and a take-no-prisoners attitude, Rambo must fight off waves of attackers sneaking up from forward and side positions!
Use your left and right arrow keys to control the direction of Rambo’s fifty-cal. Aim the crosshairs at the approaching mercenaries with your mouse — then click to shoot. Blast enough mercenaries in a firefight and you’ll move on to the next round…but take too many hits and your health meter will be completely drained, bringing Rambo’s mission – and the game – to an end!
Ready to lock and load? “Rambo: The Fight Continues” can be played on Blockdot’s gaming portal www.kewlbox.com. For more information about Rambo, visit the DVD’s official site www.rambofilm.com.
