RedBedlam and Qube Software Press Release

British tech pioneers Qube Software and RedBedlam are to partner to provide a complete one-stop solution for all MMO games and Virtual Worlds. The companies have given the product the codename; ‘Messiah.’

RedBedlam’s ZoneBubble System (ZBS) server technology allows all users to share a single, persistent virtual world while Q provides a universal client; an all-genre all-platform engine that allows users to click through, browse and explore 3D environments and games on the Internet.

“ZoneBubbles includes some of the most feature-rich massively concurrent server middleware on the market,” says Qube founder Servan Keondjian. “Combining it with Q offers developers the most flexible, and most scalable, one-stop solution ever seen for online 3D world development, hosting, delivery and viewing."

ZBS makes it possible to create large contiguous worlds without the need for loading zones of artificial barriers, which in turn allows for large organic communities to evolve because all users can share the same environment.

“ZoneBubbles delivers a better user experience while slashing operating overheads”, says RedBedlam’s founder Kerry Fraser-Robinson. “In this climate just throwing money and hardware at a problem isn't an option. ZBS is a proven technology that reduces hardware and hosting costs, while preserving features and scalability options.”

Q brings complete flexibility to the table. Q is a unique platform in that it is not wired into any game type and is completely extensible for any style of graphics or game-play. Added to this the ability to deploy the client on multiple platforms makes it a perfect solution for any MMOG, whether small or large scale.

“This is a partnership with all the pedigree anyone needs for a fully featured MMOG and virtual world platform,” says RedBedlam’s Executive Director Fred Hasson. “And by radically cutting the budgets required to build great virtual worlds and MMOGs Q and ZoneBubbles allow developers much greater freedom to explore new avenues.”

As for that codename; “Well, we reckon ‘Messiah’ is what your world’s been waiting for,” says Keondjian.
