Quazal and Crave Sign Long-Term Agreement

Crave Entertainment’s online titles will use Quazal technology for three years

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MONTRÉAL, CANADA - February 1st, 2006 - Quazal, the leading independent provider of online multiplayer components for PCs and consoles games and Crave Entertainment, a publisher of interactive entertainment products, today announces that they have entered into a long-term agreement for the use of Quazal's online technologies in Crave Entertainment's gaming products.

"We're very happy to be entering into this agreement with Crave Entertainment, with whom we've recently worked with on World Championship Poker 2. This game was, to our knowledge, one of the first released titles to allow cross-platform gaming between PS2 and PSP," said Sylvain Beaudry, President and CEO of Quazal. "Quazal's robust products, proven track record and solid support were the major factors in this long term agreement. We look forward to the titles we'll be working on with Crave over the next three years, the first of which will hit shelves later this year."

Quazal's technologies including Rendez-Vous allow for reliable implementation of online gameplay features, letting developers quickly build a lobby and matchmaking system with community features, stats-tracking features and even more unique features that go beyond the scope of a typical game lobby. With Net-Z, developers and publishers can apply different forms of networking theory easily to cover almost any genre of game they can think up, allowing robust online play in a variety of game situations.

"After shipping our first online game with Quazal, and getting feedback from our developers, it was clear that the best choice for Crave was to choose Quazal's technology for our online games, "stated Jim Flaharty, SVP at Crave Entertainment. "It will be great to have many Crave titles online over the next three years, and all sharing a common user base on most platforms."

The developers working with Crave agree.

"We shipped World Championship Poker 2 in late 2005 using Quazal's Net-Z on four platforms and Rendez-Vous on three. The game was one of the first to have cross platform online compatibility between PS2 and PSP! I can safely say in retrospect that we could not have done it without Quazal," added Rob Sandberg, Producer at Point of View, Inc. "I cannot commend the guys up there in Montréal enough. Their software delivered everything as advertised and Quazal support is second to none. If you are a console or PC developer and are developing online titles, Quazal is the only way to go."
