After fending off hordes of ravenous Necromorphs in EA's survival horror shooter, Dead Space's saw-wielding hero Vandal still had to submit to Disc Drivin' at the top of Quality Index's January rundown. Elsewhere on the games chart, three - yes, three - sequels secured prime positions thanks to widespread praise: the perspective-switching Shift! 2, perpetual-springing NinJump Deluxe, and the puzzle-solving Broken Sword - The Smoking Mirror.
Mediaplazza's official Olympique Lyonnais app has kicked off the year in fine form, taking the honours and plaudits in its stride, despite the threat of an equaliser in the dying moments from EQu. iPhone music lovers have been treated to a symphony of sonic software this month, with Audiogalaxy Mobile and Guitar Pro providing the perfect accompaniment for wannabe rock stars everywhere.
We'll continue to provide an updated listing each and every month, together with a round-up of the year. For all the up-to-date information on which games, apps, and publishers are reviewing best, head on over to the Quality Index now.
