PlayStation Phone specs under scrutiny again
New round of speculation as Chinese site parades leaked model
A Chinese site has published a number of new videos and a ream of technical information after supposedly obtaining a leaked model of the Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone.
The information, as translated by Engadget, is the latest in a line of exposes of varying veracity on the phone's technical capabilities, but seems likely to be largely accurate.
The device's GPU is thought to be a Qualcomm Adreno 205, alongside a 1GHz Snapdragon QSD8255 main processor, a 1500mAh battery, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, 512MB RAM, 512MB ROM, a microSD slot, SIM slot, micro-USB, a second mic for active noise cancellation and a resolution of 854 x 480 via the 4-inch LCD.
The leaked equipment is shown running an empty launcher called 'PlayStation Pocket' but it's unknown whether this will play PSP, PSOne or bespoke games. Sony is yet to confirm the device, but is thought to be building up to an official announcement soon.
