PSM: Independent PlayStation Magazine Names Rob Smith Editor In Chief

South San Francisco, CA (March 22, 2007) - PSM: Independent PlayStation Magazine, Future US Inc.'s leading publication devoted to coverage of Sony's console, has appointed Rob Smith as Editor In Chief. In his new role at PSM, Smith returns to his editorial roots to oversee the vision and voice of the only magazine in the industry representing the PlayStation platform.
A fourteen-year veteran of the video game magazine industry, Smith has dedicated 10 of those years to Future US, Inc. He moves to PSM from his most recent position as Associate Publisher of Future US publications PC Gamer and Maximum PC where he was instrumental in the development of advertising sales, new revenue generation and audience cultivation.
Prior to his position as Associate Publisher for both magazines, Smith contributed as Associate Publisher of Official Xbox Magazine (OXM) and before that, as Editor In Chief of the publication. For the four years preceding his tenure at OXM, Rob served as Editor In Chief of PC Gamer magazine.
