New J-League Winning Eleven title tops Japanese sales chart
DS titles occupy most places in the top ten with three new titles
Konami's PS2 football title, J-League Winning Eleven 2008, has debuted at the top of the Japanese software sales chart, selling 79,000 copies for the week ended August 24, according to data provided by Media Create.
Nintendo's Rhythm Tengoku Gold for the Nintendo DS dropped a place to number two selling 57,000 units, while Inazuma Eleven, also for the DS, entered into the chart at number three and sold 41,000 copies.
Harukanaru Toki no Naka de: Yumenoukihashi, Koei's dating RPG for the DS, and Sigma Harmonics, Square Enix's RPG also for the DS, entered into the chart having sold 26,000 and 23,000 units and coming in at seventh and eighth places respectively.
Closing off the chart at ten was Daigasso! Band Brothers DX, for the DS, which fell three places from last week and sold 16,000 copies.
