Offering discounts to members of UK developer body Tiga.
Immediate release
March 16th 2009
Tiga, the UK’s games developers’ trade association, has published a Professional Services Guide 2009. The Guide provides discounts exclusive to Tiga members ranging from five to 20 per cent on key business services, including BlitzTech Technology, motion capture, animation services, accountancy, insurance, legal, PR, and recruitment.
Richard Wilson, CEO of Tiga, said:
“I am determined that Tiga should provide tangible benefits for its members. Our Professional Services Guide 2009 provides members with access to a range of professional businesses, many of whom provide discounts exclusive to Tiga members.
“Tiga membership also often entitles members to savings when attending key industry events. For example, Tiga members will be able to benefit from a 10 per cent discount to attend the Develop Conference in Brighton (July 14th – 16th 2009).
Richard Wilson added:
“Tiga’s vision is to make the UK the best place in the world to do games business. Our Professional Services Guide 2009 contributes to this objective by enabling Tiga members to access vital business services at more affordable prices.”

Notes to editors
1. Tiga is the national trade association that represents games developers in the UK and in Europe. We have 150 members, the majority of whom are either independent games developers or in-house publisher owned developers. We also have outsourcing companies, technology businesses and university departments that are members.
2. Tiga’s vision is to make the UK the best place in the world to do games business. We focus on three sets of activities: political representation, generating media coverage and developing services that enhance the competitiveness of our members. This means that Tiga members are effectively represented in the corridors of power, their voice is heard in the media and they receive benefits that make a material difference to their businesses, including a reduction in costs and improved commercial opportunities.
