Pro Videogaming: Project Gotham Racing 3 - CD:UK's Dave Berry confirmed as TV presenter and Registration now open

Opening registration for the Pro Videogaming: Project Gotham Racing 3 tournament, the Extreme Sports Channel ( www.extreme.com) has confirmed that Dave Berry will be presenting the second show in the series. Previously helming MTV's TRL Dave went on to host UK chart show CD:UK and recently hosted the celebrity show 'Only Fools On Horses'.

The Extreme Sports Channel commissioned British fashion and videogame event label Joystick Junkies to produce the Pro Videogaming: Project Gotham Racing 3 tournament at the Ripspeed Donny car show on Sunday 13th August ( www.donnyshow.co.uk). Ripspeed Donny expects 20,000 visitors at their show which takes place on North Weald Airfield in Essex.

Registration to take part in the UK's first televised pro racing video game event is free and now open at http://www.extreme.com/news/news_article.asp?SID=617 where you can find full details of rules, settings and the competition structure.

Finalists for the Pro Videogaming: Project Gotham Racing 3 tournament will be found via seven Xbox Live heats which will take place 10pm-1am on 4th-10th August, while a further 8 contestants will be chosen from heats taking place at the Ripspeed Donny event in the morning for those without Xbox Live.

The winners will be playing Project Gotham Racing 3 on an open air 20ft x 15ft LED screen and the pressure will be on to give their best ever performance with a huge audience, and a hot list of prizes up for grabs. All 16 finalists will receive good bags, Joystick Junkies clothing and free games, whilst the winner will receive £500 and a load of other prizes including games and clothing.

Visitors to the event on the 13th will also be able to try out new and forthcoming video game releases, take part in the massive Girls Vs Boys face off hosted by the Joystick Junkies girl gamers and much more.
