Pocket God

Bolt Creative today announced ‘Ooga Jump,’ the 21st free episode for their million-plus selling iPhone game, Pocket God. In the latest addition to the ever-expanding deity simulator, the island inhabitants will take to the skies.

An homage to the gameplay of popular iPhone title Doodle Jump, the new episode challenges Pocket Gods to guide their Oogas into the heavens as they jump upwards from cloud to cloud. They’ll have to be careful, though – snow clouds will weigh them down, lightning clouds will set them ablaze, and Doodle clouds will try to shoot them! The most determined deities can unlock four achievements at increasing altitudes (measured in ‘Oogles,’ the official Pocket God unit of measurement).

Bolt Creative recently hired Jean Mathews, a new media licensing veteran hailing from Sony Pictures Entertainment and Disney. Mathews will be driving the expansion of the Pocket God brand, including bringing the game to other platforms, and exploring merchandising opportunities.
