Plug In Digital forms indie publishing label Playdius
And four of its games are coming to Nintendo Switch
Yet another independent video games publishing label has emerged - this time in France.
Playdius is the publishing arm of Plug In Digital, a digital distribution business that works with platform holders and handles sales strategies, SEO, marketing support and financial reporting. Its relationships with the likes of Steam means it has been dabbling in publishing for a little while, and now it is formalising its move with the launch of Playdius.
CEO Francis Ingrand said: "We're extremely passionate about Indie games and their creators, therefore it was a natural progression that we would create a publishing arm that allows us to work with developers to get their projects out there for the public to enjoy. We look forward to showcasing our first group of games under the new label at PAX East for all attendees to experience."
The firm's first titles include Neurovoider, Pankapu, sU and The Quest for Meaning, Away, A Normal Lost Phone and Strikers Edge. The first four of those games are in development for Nintendo Switch.
