PlayXpert Twitter Widget
Tweet as you play, should you feel so inclined.
SANDPOINT, ID – APRIL 30, 2009 – PlayXpert, the provider of next-generation in-game community management tools, today announced the availability of a new community-created widget called the PlayXpert Twitter Widget. The new widget allows gamers – for the first time – to Tweet in-game and share their activity stream in virtual worlds as it happens.
“Twitter has become an elemental way for people to share information about anything they are doing, thinking, or discovering,” said Charles Manning, CEO of PlayXpert. “For gamers, having access to Tweet to their network while in-game is a critical feature and demonstrates the power of the PlayXpert platform to bring everything into the game experience for users.”
The Twitter widget also allows automatic Tweets when users launch or stop playing specific games. The automated Tweets are particularly valuable to facilitate social gaming in multiplayer games such as World of Warcraft®, Call of Duty®, and Company of Heroes®. The PlayXpert in-game operating system works across any PC game allowing all PC gamers to Tweet without leaving the immersive environment of their favorite game.
Gamers simply download the Twitter widget from the PlayXpert widget gallery, and sign in with their Twitter credentials. The PlayXpert platform and the new Twitter widget are available for free at http://www.playxpert.com
