Games publisher Playlogic Entertainment has announced the signing of an affiliate agreement with Macrovision's Trymedia Games division, for the digital distribution of a range of Playlogic's titles.

Macrovision operates the world's largest distribution network for downloadable games, and will add a range of selected Playlogic titles to its network under the terms of the agreement. Additionally, Playlogic's recently re-launched website will incorporate Trymedia technology, offering customers a try-before-you-buy option on most titles and providing simple and secure access to the company's library of existing games as well as future releases.

Stefan Layer, Playlogic's VP and chief marketing and sales officer, commented: "In line with our publishing strategy, Playlogic takes the next step in the first quarter of 2006 and will start digital distribution. In each country we will offer a specifically selected portfolio of our games to respect the local distribution structures. As a part of the re-launch of our website, Playlogic will offer a variety of titles for purchase by download."

"By making games like World Racing 2 available via download, Playlogic is giving core gamers more options when it comes to how and when they get their favourite games," added Fred Amoroso, Macrovision CEO. "Through the Trymedia Network, millions of consumers around the world will have access to Playlogic's games from their desktops."
