Player X named Red Herring finalist
Publisher labelled one of the top 100 private ventures in Europe
Mobile company Player X has been recognised as one of the top 100 private ventures in the Europe, by being selected as a finalist for the 2007 Red Herring 100 Awards.
"Being announced as a Red Herring 100 Finalist is a testament to the hard work the whole team has put in," commented Tony Pearce, CEO of Player X.
"We define ourselves as a mobile media company and our achievements in games, TV and video underline this. We're looking for more recognition over the rest of the year," he added.
Red Herring evaluated more than 700 private companies, scrutinising financial data, management, business strategy and dedication to research and development.
"This year's list, and unprecedented number of submissions from companies demonstrates Europe's emergence as a major player in the global technology sector," said Red Herring Editor-in-Chief Joel Dreyfuss.
