Player X continues expansion with Munford hire

Mobile games publisher and distributor Player X has appointed Paul Munford as the company's new Business Development Director.

Munford has a wealth of experience in the mobile entertainment sector and previously spent three years as Communications Director at Babel Media where he led Babel's move into mobile gaming by setting up a two-year exclusive deal with Vodafone Live!.

Munford will be responsible for business development, extending the company's global profile, opening channels into the US market and heading Player X's mobile gambling department.

"It's a cliché, but I'm 'delighted' to be working with the Player X guys and I know I've joined at the right time. European, Asian and US operators are all snapping up our quality content such as Alien Hominid, Wallace & Gromit and Space Boy and the future is as about exciting as it could be," said Munford.

The news follows the recent appointment of mobile games veteran Kristan Rivers as the company's Asian General Manager who is based in Beijing and is responsible for doing deals with all major Asian operators.

Player X is set for further growth and is also looking for experienced producers, testers and German/French/Swedish-speaking account managers.
